I just downloaded this program. Installed and ran. Created a character and saved. Closed the program and reopened recieved an error message stating that it couldn't load my character.

I am running windows vista and I was wondering if this is a known problem or if there are any solutions...

http://forum.gwfreaks.com/Topic1801-5-1.aspx

sorry for double post.... did some more reading around the forums and this fix my problem.
This works but I'd perfer not to have to assign a skill (only a minor inconvienence) as I am mainly using this prog to trak what skills i've learned and find the location of new skills

Not of high priority but i'm jsut giving my feedback concerning this

From my experience that particular error only occurs when you load a new character, don't add any skills to it, and then close & reopen the program, since GWFreaks doesn't save a character build unless it has skills in it.

However you don't actually have to create a new "Character" unless you plan on messing with builds, since the Lock/Unlock is based on your Account Name & Skill Location/Maps portion is completely independent of the character/account name/portion as well.

UndeadPriest is absolutely right on that. You must have at least 1 skill to be saved, this is a issue know and documented. The primary reason was that using the team mode, empty character would not be saved. If you use GWFreaks without the skill, just drag one and you will fix the problem.
