| Just tried out the new beta. I really like the changes to the locked skills. That makes it much easier to tell whether they are locked or not.
1) I wanted to suggest a faster way to unlock skills. Right clicking to unlock a many skills is annoying. Meanwhile, unlocking all at once with the button provided isn't right for all situations. (It would be fine if I only had a few locked skills left on my account. However, in my case, I've played three professions.)
I think double clicking on the skill should toggle the locked state of the skill. Alternatively, you could provide a check box. (But, I like the double clicking better.)
2) The "Skill Info" windows need to update as you change tabs. It should be blank when skill isn't selected or there those tabs that don't have any skills. It seems rather odd to see the skills info display data for a skill when you're on the "Character" or "Equipment" tab.
Maybe it should show more detailed info for whatever item is selected. For example, a picture for armor/weapons. There isn't much of a point to showin for info for runes. |

Besides, you always have the skillbar at the bottom and can select a skill any time you want. But something I would want is to have theoOption "Select skills on mouse over" to also affect the bottom skillbar.

Good point. But, I still think it should blank out when there isn't anything selected on the character tab. Then, if you want to see the effect of attribute changes on a skill, you select it from the skill toolbar.
Though, I can see how this could be annoying when you just want to see the effect on some skill that you don't have in your build. However, you can change the linked attribute directly in "Skill Info." So, there's no need to go to the character tab to see the effect of increasing the level in that attribute.
Likewise for the other tabs. It's just looks a little unpolished to have the "Skill Info" section showing unrelated info. |
