| the quest database can incorperate all the stuff on quests.gwonline.com
and then just get people to go around finding the mission ones.
or http://www.guildwiki.org/guildwars/index.php/Quests
that has ALOT of detailed quests.

| Definitely the Guild sharing templates and such. My guild has a large server and has a very knowledgable webmaster. I am sure he would be willing to help you test/work out how you would be able to easily upload templates and such. I just know if you got this that even more of the members in my guild would download the program. -Ptr

| | That's the idea, having a large number of player could create tons of template possible (even in a small guild this can happen with addict player that have all skills unlock). The features would include some instant search functionality inside a hundred of template.

| Yah just to be sure if you add this here's a few features I think would make it good(probably already thought of them)
Search by Creator
Search by Class
Search by "containing skills"
Search by priority(set by webmaster/overseer of the database)
Search by notes
Password protection(great if there could be a default then a specific password could optionally be set for each build, levels of passwords could allow you to create "usergroups" with specific access and once a build was so old a clan could release it to the general commnunity.)
Search by Date
Search by times viewed
Anyways thats a steep list so I'll stop. Just to let you know I'm stoked about this idea and its implementation! Keep me updated.

| WNxPeterWigginm you did point out the feature you would expect from a large number of template management screen. The fact is, if we build a module like this we will probably include bunch of those features you requested and unfortunately this can't be done over the week-end . This will goes for version 2.3 only.

| I think the quests would be easier and better to implement - it directly relates to skills, which is already part of the program. Item/NPC stuff (such as collector locations) would be great to implement after that, though. It'd be cool if the quests would make that green symbol on the map, too, and you could lock/unlock them like you currently do skills, to help you keep track of which ones your character has done or needs to do.

| | Quest database would be great! That way you could easily find which skills are reward in a quest without wasting skill points "buying" a skill from a trainer or getting a capture signet. Please, Please, Please! |

| I would be quite willing to help contribute to the Quest data if you can make a GUI for inputting it like the one I'm using for mob bosses. I noticed that where it says 'mob boss', it also says quest, but I didn't fool with it yet.

| Just as a note - you can already share the XML data files for teams and characters very easily. If you try opening the files in a web browser (a good one like Firefox works best) you can see the data it contains.
My guild uses a wiki that allows for uploads so that we can post team builds as a GWFreaks team xml file plus a description (on the wiki page) about how to run the build and other comments. It isn't as easy as it could be to use, but it is a good start.
I would love to see GWFreaks become the best way for guilds and other players to share, modify and comment on builds as well as allowing a guild to easily see which guildmates can run which characters. It would be a pretty major undertaking, but as mentioned there are many of us who would be interested in helping. |
